LeanStrat (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at leanstrat.co. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We're a small, India-based individual proprietorship — no corporate layers, no hidden data brokering.

1. What Data We Collect

Assessment Form

When you use the free scan or paid report form, we collect:

• Company name — used to generate your competitive intelligence report.
• Website URL — used to analyse your digital presence and identify competitors.

We do not ask for your name, phone number, or email address in the assessment form unless you voluntarily provide it via our contact email.

Payment Information

Paid reports (₹499) are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card details, UPI credentials, or bank information. Razorpay handles all payment data under their own privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance. We receive only a payment confirmation and order ID.

Approximate Location

We use ipapi.co to detect your approximate country based on your IP address. This is used solely to display pricing in your local currency. We do not log or store your IP address or location data on our servers.

Usage Data

Standard web server logs may capture your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes only.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To generate your competitive intelligence report (company name + URL).
• To process and confirm your payment (via Razorpay).
• To display pricing in your local currency (via IP geolocation).
• To improve the quality and accuracy of our AI analysis over time.
• To respond to any enquiries you send to hello@leanstrat.co.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not build profiles on you.

3. Third-Party Services

Razorpay (Payments)

Razorpay processes all payments. Their privacy policy is at razorpay.com/privacy. When you pay, you are bound by Razorpay's terms as well as ours.

ipapi.co (Geolocation)

We call ipapi.co's API client-side to detect your country. This sends your IP address to their servers. Their privacy policy is at ipapi.co/privacy.

xAI / Grok (AI Analysis)

Our competitive reports are generated using the Grok API (by xAI). Your company name and website URL are sent to xAI's servers as part of the prompt. xAI's privacy policy applies to data processed through their API. We do not send any personally identifiable information about you — only the business details you provide.

Vercel (Hosting)

This site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may log request metadata per their infrastructure privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

We use localStorage (browser storage, not a cookie) to remember your currency preference — for example, if you've selected INR or USD. This data never leaves your browser and is not sent to our servers. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.

5. Data Retention

Assessment inputs (company name, website URL) are retained only as long as needed to generate and deliver your report. We do not maintain a persistent database of user submissions. Payment records are retained as required by Indian tax regulations (typically 7 years).

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Know what data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Withdraw consent for any non-essential processing.
